a little bit about Oleta Lane Films
| the wedding side of things |
First thing to know, I'm not your average videographer.
I started Oleta Lane Films in 2017 with this wild idea that it would be really fun to combine my love of film-making with my love of weddings. Guys, first of all, it's really hard to break into the wedding industry. Supes hard. I cried a lot in the beginning.
I had to find something that set me apart from all the other videographers, who are probably all really great, but just not me.
I love the Pacific Northwest almost as much as I love Sydney. Natural light is my queen, I have a cat who I'm very allergic to but also sleeps on my face, I have at least six flannels in my closet, rainy weather is my kingdom, and I could literally only eat cheese for the rest of my life and be okay with it.
It is my job to make you feel like you've known me forever.
I'm never going to ask you to do something you're not already doing on your wedding day. I take pride in creating films for people that are natural, romantic, creative, and non-invasive.
And also I hope it's okay if I dance at your wedding?

| the birth side of things |
Anyone who knows me will tell you I love babies.
I have three nieces by blood, and a combo deal of one niece and one nephew via friendship (which totally counts). I can't wait to have kids someday, but for right now, I'm getting all the babies via my new birth series, Hello Baby!
Hello Baby! follows you throughout your pregnancy, up through labour and delivery, and through the newborn days. It's a personalized mini-documentary that you and your family can have forever. Also, it's not what you think.
When I film births, they are done tastefully, and I make sure both parents and I have been able to develop a friendship over the course of the pregnancy so that we're pals by the time baby arrives, and so everyone feels comfortable and happy.
It's literally my favorite series to produce.
a little bit about Kendall, the videographer
I am half-Australian, half-Pacific-Northwestern. What does that mean? It means I live in Sydney with my husband but spend a lot of time bouncing back and forth between my first home in the Pacific Northwest and our new home in Sydney.
I'm obsessed with traveling. Both my husband and I absolutely LOVE to travel and see new corners of the world. We've white water rafted in northern Queensland, washed elephants in Chiang Mai, snuggled a red panda in Wellington, golfed in Scottsdale, done tequila shots in Puerto Vallarta, and hiked with monkeys in Krabi. What's next on our travel bucket list? Depends who you ask. Iceland for him, Bali for me.
My favorite drink is a scratch margarita. Bread and cheese is my favorite food group. Adam Scott is my favorite actor. I firmly believe there's nothing a cup of tea can't solve (but also, Sauvingnon Blanc). I always take the window seat on the plane (shoutout to my husband who always takes the middle seat, you the real MVP). I don't really believe in astrology, but at the same time I am the most Taurus to ever Taurus.
I've run two half-marathons and quite frankly, never again. My favorite place in the world is Sydney, Australia (holy crap I can't believe we get to live here now!). Again, I will mention cheese. I love horror movies, until it's time for me to go to bed and then I regret everything.
