Hi, I'm Kendall.
First things first, this is about you.
Everything I do,
from birth films and photography to wedding films to promotional films for small businesses,
and all that's in between, is always going to be
about you and your journey.
Film gives you something that photos cannot.
Don't get me wrong - I LOVE taking photos, but when it comes to telling a story or connecting with potential clients, you cannot beat the emotive power and concept of filmmaking.
That's where I come in.
so, who am I?
I am half-Australian, half-Pacific-Northwestern.
In November 2019, my husband and I moved from Seattle, WA to Sydney, NSW.
Yes, right in the middle of the bush fires and right before an international pandemic!
I started Oleta Lane films in September 2017.
Born from a place of love, Oleta Lane Films, which is named after my two grandmothers, Oleta and Elaine,
started with my passion for film making + love of weddings, and has evolved into something so much bigger.
As a one-woman team, while working another job in Seattle, Oleta Lane Films managed to win accolades in the wedding industry for both 2018 and 2019, survived an international move, and is staying afloat during an international pandemic.
We've filmed 20+ weddings, created a maternity + birth film series, and now create book trailers for authors, promotional films for small-to-medium sized businesses, and do creative content and product videography.
We began with a passion for weddings, but our biggest passion is ultimately telling your story, whatever that may be.
Yes, we do photography as well!
I actually fell in love with photography before I discovered my passion for filmmaking.
You can check out some of my work at: www.kendallringphotography.com
where you'll find examples of weddings, births, maternity, family, product, and architectural photos.
All birth films include birth photography as well.
I love animals!
In a parallel life, my husband and I own a zoo, for sure.
In this life, we have a beautiful seven-year-old calico cat named, Finley, who yes, made the long trip from Seattle to Sydney,
and an over-the-top, ball-is-life, one-year-old Kelpie named, Jake.
Some of my favourite things?
Cheese. Hiking. Window seats. Wine. Long, rainy days.
New Zealand. Margaritas. Horror films. Grazing boards.
Llamas. Chocolate-covered almonds. Board games.
Tea. Tacos. Long drives. Experiencing different cultures.
International travel. Sunday naps.
